La Cascada
About This Spot
Stepping into La Cascada feels like slipping into a lively corner of El Salvador tucked away in the heart of Nanuet. The air hums with warm conversation and the subtle clatter of plates, inviting you to slow down and savor moments shared around the table. There's a casual, welcoming energy here that sets a comfortable pace—even when the place fills up—with an atmosphere that feels both familiar and refreshingly spirited.
The space itself reflects a family touch, where attention to genuine hospitality shines through every interaction. Regular visitors seem drawn back by the thoughtful care extended by the staff, making each visit feel less like dining out and more like returning to a cherished neighborhood gathering.
Here, the food is a textured, heartfelt expression of Salvadoran home cooking. It’s not just about the flavors, though those are vibrant and well-seasoned, but about the way dishes weave into the experience—whether it’s the comforting warmth of a perfectly cooked chicken plate or the fresh brightness of guacamole that sparks quiet delight. These moments unfold naturally, paired with the steady rhythm of friendly chatter and easy laughter.
La Cascada invites you to explore its simple pleasures at your own pace, discovering the balance of robust tastes and casual conviviality that make it a memorable refuge from the everyday. It’s a place where authenticity quietly shines and every visit feels like a step deeper into a rich food story shared across tables and generations.

Everything was delicious. Pupusas were the best I've had in rockland. Family owned is the cherry on top :)

Very friendly and inviting people working here. Their guacamole is to die for. Not a fan too much of the chips, but try the guacamole is fresh and best in Rockland from my experience.

I order pupusas from here all the time, and it takes some time in the morning for them to make them but I gotta say by far the best pupusas I've had in the US since I came from El Salvador. They are bigger than average, they fill you up and taste good. Hospitality and great service, shoutout to the managers for giving me an extra pupusa today.
